Lisa Bernard, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA, CFE received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting (1989) and a Master of Professional Accountancy (1993) from The University of Southern Mississippi. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Mississippi. She joined The Koerber Company, P.A. in 2010 as a staff accountant, where she is responsible for valuation and litigation support services for clients. The valuation services are primarily for estate and gift tax purposes, purchases and sales of businesses, and equitable distribution and community property related to divorces. The litigation support services consist of estimating damages in personal injury and wrongful death actions.
Prior to joining The Koerber Company, Lisa was a senior tax auditor for the Mississippi State Tax Commission, an accountant for private industry, and an instructor at William Carey College (now William Carey University), Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and Pearl River Community College. Her subject areas included Principles of Accounting, Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, and Marketing Management. She is a member of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (including the Business Valuation and Litigation Support Services Committee), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts,and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Lisa is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Mississippi; Accredited in Business Valuation and Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; a Certified Valuation Analyst by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts; and a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
